Bethesda Music Series 2025-26

All Events Free

Next concert is: Elm City Consort and Ampersand

Claudio Monteverdi's anthology of compositions, Selva Morale e Spirituale, reveals the glories of Renaissance music as it transitioned to the dawn of the Baroque era. Don't miss this opportunity to be transported by music which would have been a delight to people at the cathedral of San Marco in 17th-century Venice during Monteverdi's 30-year tenure there.

Admission is free and, to care for those in need in the New Haven area, donations to Haven's Harvest (https://www.havensharvest.org/) are gladly received.
Make checks out to Bethesda Lutheran Church, with Haven's Harvest in the memo.

Serving Our Community Through Music

For over 30 years, the Bethesda Music Series has presented 4–5 concerts each season featuring local and international musicians while raising funds for area social service organizations and sharing great music with the people of New Haven.

Wanting to reach out to the community in as inclusive a manner as possible, we have made all concerts free and open to the public. A freewill offering is collected and donations are accepted. Faithful donors underwrite the expenses of the series, allowing us to give 100% of all freewill offerings to the charities.

The Music Series has played to thousands of people presenting a range of music including Caribbean steel drums, harpsicord and organ, choir concerts, operas, string quartets, and much more. Although the program changes, what stays constant is the dedication to presenting artistic experiences of the highest quality in a welcoming environment.

Please join us in our mission, we look forward to your attendance at all of our concerts — whatever form they may take.
