On Sunday, April 27 at 4:30, the Bethesda Music Series will present the Bethesda Baroque Ensemble in a free concert of solo and chamber music by J. S. Bach. Performers include members of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, as well as Bethesda members and friends, and will feature music for oboes, cello, organ, and voice from some of Bach’s most beautiful solo works and cantatas.
In keeping with its mission of providing funds in support of those in need and area non-profit organizations, this concert will support the work of New Haven’s Sanctuary Kitchen by City Seed. Through their culinary training program, Sanctuary Kitchen provides professional development and employment for immigrants and refugees from the Middle East and North Africa.
A reception will follow the concert and will feature selections from the Sanctuary Kitchen catering menu. All freewill donations will go to support the ongoing mission of Sanctuary Kitchen.
