Music at Bethesda
Bethesda has a strong musical tradition. We use music to enrich our worship experiences, to teach our message to each other, and to offer sacrifices of praise. Our liturgies are rich and varied and speak to mind and soul. We draw on centuries of artistic and devotional traditions to adorn our services with enthusiastic congregational singing, skilled choral leadership, and solo vocal and instrumental music. Our membership includes talented amateur and professional musicians of all ages and interests. The Bethesda Choir is the core of our music program, offering leadership every Sunday, September through May, as well as in special services and concerts. Our teens and children sing frequently during our services, and instrumental and vocal soloists and ensembles join our music director in providing special musical offerings throughout the year. We invite you to benefit from by Bethesda’s music ministries by attending Sunday worship or by coming to our popular concert series, which raises funds for local charities!

Bethesda has a nice Cassavant pipe organ, which provides a solid foundation for strong congregational singing. The organ also supports the choir and is frequently heard in combination with various solo instruments or chamber ensembles.
