Bethesda Choir

Our choir is non-auditioned, but some choral experience and basic music reading skills are needed to fully participate in our rich season of singing. We rehearse on Wednesdays at 7:30-9:00pm, in the choir room, and on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:15am, in the choir loft. We sing in most Sunday services during the program season. Our music ranges from Mediaeval to contemporary, from classical to gospel and jazz, and includes large works for choir, soloists, and chamber orchestra. Dedicated to social outreach, the choir participates in several annual concerts of the Bethesda Music Series, the most important of which is our Reformation Sunday Concert each October, which features Bach cantatas and other works. We often invite other area church choirs to join us for the larger concerts. The choir is a fun group of friends who love music and each other’s company! Contact music director Lars Gjerde for more information or to consider joining our forces!
